Welcome to myangelchase.com. I am excited that you are visiting this site and am eager to share Chase's story, "Angel Chase and His Mommy's Sign" with you. I wrote this children's story in honor of our little boy, Chase Thomas Connelly. He was born and passed away on October 22, 2004 at 4:12 p.m. He weighed only 4 ounces and was only 7 inches long. He was diagnosed with Tri-somy 18.

I was and am fortunate to have a wonderful support system. My husband, Scott, was an incredible rock and compassionate and sensitive soul during this devastating experience. My Mother, Carol, was also there to take my late night sobbing phone calls. Our family and our friends also offered their love, support and prayers as we tried to heal from such a tragic loss.

I owe a special thanks to my sister-in-law, Debbie Connelly, who lost her little boy, Brian Grant Connelly. Brian was born still at 35 weeks. She reached out to us, opened her heart and shared her grief so that we could better cope with our own grief. On Christmas Eve, 2004, she lent me two books that had been given to her. One in particular, entitled "Mommy, Please Don't Cry" touched me dearly. She also gave me a little ornament of an angel holding a footprint. The combination of reading "Mommy, Please Don't Cry", the little angel with the footprint, and my deep need to honor our little Angel Baby, Chase, provided my inspiration for Chase's story.

I hope that Chase's story and this website bring you comfort and help you on your path to healing.
