Colleen was inspired to
write this book after losing her son, Chase Thomas, when she was 18
weeks pregnant. Chase was diagnosed with Tri-somy 18. Anyone that has
lived through a miscarriage or the death of a child understands the
grief and sorrow that accompanies such a devastating experience. Colleen
hopes that reading this book will provide some comfort to parents
experiencing a similar tragedy. Colleen also hopes that parents can use
this book to help explain the loss of a pregnancy or child to other
young children.

Excerpt from Angel
Chase and His Mommy's Sign:
One day, Baby Angel
Chase was walking around heaven looking sad. Jesus stopped him and
asked, "Angel Chase, why do you look so sad?"
Chase replied, "Jesus, my Mommy cries a lot. I know it is because she
misses me and it makes me so sad to see her cry."
Jesus was touched by Chase's compassion for his Mommy. Jesus too knew
how very sad Chase's Mommy was. She often prayed to him and asked him to
ease some of her pain. Jesus wanted to help Chase's Mommy too.
Jesus said to Chase, "Angel Chase, why don't you send your Mommy a sign
from you, something to make her smile."
Angel Chase got very excited, "Jesus, that is a great idea! What type of
sign would make my Mommy smile?"
Jesus responded, "Angel Chase, only you can figure that out."
